    The captain's Table provides eat in and take away service but as we arrived at the totally unpopular time of 5.45 pm the seating area was closed off and we had to make do with sitting in and around our mini bus.

    I have to say at the outset that I am fussy about my fish and chips and that I wasn't over enamoured of the offerings here. The fish was undeniably fresh and tasted good but it was ruined by the batter which was over cooked on the outside and uncooked on the inside.

    The staff seemed to struggle with getting orders right and no matter how many times I added up our bill I never got it as high as the counter assistant.

    I'm afraid the place wasn't overly clean either.
